As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, and religion (or lack thereof).

5. Reporting guidelines

If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any concerns, please notify an event organiser as soon as possible. Event organisers will be easily identified during the event. If in doubt, please check at the front desk.

All reports will be handled with discretion. Any event organisers dealing with a reported incident must to do confidentially. All details of the incident, including the names of those involved and the details of what is reported to have taken place will be kept strictly private. Failure to adhere to this confidentiality will itself be deemed in breach of this Code of Conduct and will be dealt with in the same manner as any other violation.

When notifying an organiser, please include, where possible, the names of those involved and any witnesses. Provide your account of what occurred, if you believe the incident to be ongoing and any additional information that may help. Please do not share details of the incident with anyone else until there is a resolution.

After notifying an organiser, they will review the incident with another organiser, if possible. If the person being reported is an organiser, they will not be involved in handling your complaint.

6. Addressing grievances

If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating the Code of Conduct, you should report this to the event organisers. Your complaint will be dealt with in the same way as the original report with all available organisers reviewing the incident to arrive at a resolution.

7. Scope

We expect all event attendees to abide by this Code of Conduct in all interactions during the event, both online and in person.

This code of conduct and its related procedures also applies to unacceptable behavior occurring outside the scope of event activities when such behavior has the potential to adversely affect the safety and well-being of attendees.

The code is not a rulebook or exhaustive, it serves to distil our common understanding of this event. We expect it to be followed in spirit as much as in the letter.

8. Contact information

Event organisers will be easily identified during the event.
